Salman Khan’s 'Veer' not shelved!

The economic meltdown faced by the free-market economies worldwide has had its effect on apna Bollywood as well. Many producers in Bollywood are now faced with financial crunch and are consequently cutting down on the budgets of their films.

When the shooting of ‘Veer’ was cancelled recently in Film City, there were rumours that the producer Vijay Galani is shelving the film because of its huge budget and also because of the huge pay-packet that Salman Khan commands in the industry.


But now, it turns out that there is another reason for the cancellation of the film’s shoot. Subhash Ghai’s movie Yuvvraaj , starring Salman and Katrina Kaif , is set to release this Friday and the producer-director requested Salman to spare a few days for the film’s promotion.

However, sparing the days was certainly not easy for Salman. He was committed to shoot Boney Kapoor’s Wanted Dead And Alive and Vijay Galani’s ‘Veer’. However, given Subhash Ghai ’s seniority and respect in the industry, both the producers decided to postpone the shooting of their films so that Salman can promote ‘Yuvvraaj’.

Salman Khan has himself confirmed that he will resume the shooting of ‘Veer’ from December 1. The film’s expensive sets are still intact.
