If reports are to be believed, Tamil superstar Kamal Haasan 's ambitious project Marmayogi has been shelved.The shooting of 'Marmayogi' was scheduled to begin in Hyderabad's Ramoji Film City, but the Rs.1.2 billion magnum opus has been put on the backburner for the time being. The film industry seems to be under resource crunch due to global financial crisis. Even as ‘Marmayogi’ has been deferred, there are reports that Kamal is doing a Tamil comedy quickie. 
Meanwhile, Haasan has registered a title 'Thalaivan Irukkiraan' with the Tamil Film Producers' Council. The project is under discussion, sources close to the actor said.
