HOME | SCOOP!! & NEWS | MUSIC Shruti Haasan to croon for 'Luck'21st Oct 2008 09.44 IST By ApunKaChoice Apart from making her acting debut in Soham Shah’s movie Luck , the multi-talented Shruti Haasan will also sing a song for the film. Shruti, the daughter of the much talented Kamal Haasan and Sarika is a lead vocalist of the rock band Extramentals. So it was obvious that her singing talent be tapped in her debut Bollywood movie. 
It was the idea of Shruti’s friend-cum-peer Imran Khan to make Shruti sing for ‘Luck’. Imran and Shruti grew up together because their families were closely knit. It was on Imran’s recommendation that director Soham Shah signed her for ‘Luck’. And now, Imran has convinced Soham to tap Shruti’s singing skills as well. ‘Luck’ has music by Pritam . And it’s reported that one song is specially being composed for Shruti, who is expert in rendering rock songs in her sultry voice. She also has the experience of playback singing, having sung her first song at the tender age of six for her father’s film ‘Thevar Magan’. ‘Luck’ is a fast-pace movie which has lots of outdoor adventure. Imran admits that nobody in Bollywood has ever tried a film like ‘Luck’.
